Police seek pickup truck in cycling hit-and-run south of London

London police are searching for the driver of a black pickup truck that allegedly targeted cyclists who were riding south of the city on Sunday morning.
Police say emergency crews were called to White Oak Road and Harry White Drive at about 9 a.m. after two cyclists were stuck by a moving vehicle. The cyclists were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cyclists were part of a group with the London Cycling Club — who do regular rural rides — heading to Alymer at the time of the collision. Randy Van Puyenbroeck was one of the cyclists who was hit.
"I heard the vehicle pulling up alongside us and we were in the middle of a curve, which was concerning to me at the time," he said. "Then suddenly he just swerved into us pretty much right across our path and stopped the vehicle, and then took off."
Van Puyenbroeck said he suffered a broken collar bone and a number of bruises to the left side of his body. The other cyclist who was stuck sustained an injury to his head and shoulder.
"Fortunately, we were both able to walk away. In hindsight, I'm kind of thankful for that, that nobody was really seriously injured or killed in this," he said.
The truck involved is described as a black Dodge Ram, with a chrome bumper, dark tinted windows with white decals on the rear window and possibly a tool box in the bed. The truck may have damage to its rear side panel. The licence plate number is not known.
