Colorado police responded to reports of an active shooter Monday at a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder. The details of the situation aren't yet clear, but CBS Denver helicopter footage showed a man without a shirt being escorted out of the store in handcuffs.
At 2:49 p.m. local time, the Boulder Police Department warned residents of an active shooter on Twitter. Dozens of police cruisers, medical personnel, and SWAT teams swarmed outside the grocery store Monday afternoon. The FBI's Denver office said it would assist local law enforcement with the investigation.The Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that the U.S. food supply is still "one of the safest in the world," in the wake of a number of foodborne disease outbreaks affecting items ranging from organic carrots to deli meats to McDonald's Quarter Pounders.
