Police responded to the area of Beverly Street and Dundas Street North around 6 a.m. Monday for a report of a missing two-year-old boy.
Waterloo Regional Police is investigating a sudden death of a toddler in Cambridge.
Police responded to the area of Beverly Street and Dundas Street North around 6 a.m. Monday for a report of a missing two-year-old boy.
That is right by Soper Park.
When police arrived, they found the child unresponsive.
“Life saving measures were provided and the child transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the child was later pronounced deceased,” police said in a media release.
The investigation remains ongoing and there is no concern for public safety.
At around 11:30 a.m. Monday, regional police vehicles and a forensic van could be seen at the entrance of the park as well as near the creek that runs through the area.
