Cpl. Dave Noon, a forensic collision reconstructionist with the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, says investigators have been deployed to 80th Avenue between 197 Street and 199 Street.
The area remains closed to traffic in both directions with no scheduled time to reopen.
A tan-coloured Hyundai Santa Cruz with significant damage remained on the side of the road with what appeared to be a body under a tarp lying next to it.
The B.C. Coroners Service said it did not have any details about the incident immediately available.
A long-time Langley resident told CTV News the stretch of 80th Avenue where the collision occurred sees frequent speeders as drivers seek to avoid traffic congestion on nearby roadways.
"People, slow down," said Wayne Edwards. "Don't be in a hurry. If you're late, you're late."
