A young couple shot and killed after a dispute with their landlord near Hamilton have been identified by police.

A young couple shot and killed after a dispute with their landlord near Hamilton have been identified by police.

Police say 27-year-old Carissa MacDonald of Stoney Creek and 28-year-old Aaron Stone of Hamilton were fatally shot by their landlord as they fled from their residence in the area of Jones Road and Barton Street on May 27.

“The families of both victims are requesting privacy at this time,” Hamilton police said in a release on Tuesday.

The landlord, who was identified as Terry Brekka through property records, was later shot and killed by police.
