Police Commissioners posted in 4 districts of Uttar Pradesh

Former DGP O P Singh had earlier proposed a blueprint of posting commissioners according to districts to monitor the functioning of police better.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has fulfilled the dream of former DGP O P Singh by posting commissioners in four districts-- Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Noida. There were many states of the country where the police commissioner used to be seated, the commissioner used to guide the police, but at present DGP is doing this work. When OP Singh was appointed for the post of DGP of Uttar Pradesh, he prepared a blueprint for making the commissioner in Uttar Pradesh and placed it to the Chief Minister. After getting approval from the Chief Minister, police commissioners were appointed in Lucknow and Noida districts so that they could find out the functioning of the police. Perhaps Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath liked the thinking of former DGP OP Singh. Therefore, discussing his cabinet meeting, ADG A Satish Ganesh and Aseem Arun of Agra were sent as police commissioners in Varanasi and Kanpur respectively.
