A police car was set on fire in central Kolkata’s Burrabazar area this afternoon. Videos from the spot showed men running around with sticks and hurling stones.
A fire tender was rushed to the spot and the flames are now under control.

The police resorted to tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesters marching to the state secretariat Nabanna, demonstrating against alleged corruption of the ruling dispensation in the state.
Four BJP workers were arrested on their way to the march from the Panagarh Railway Station in the state’s West Burdwan district.
