
Police ask for Brian Laundrie's items for DNA matching, attorney says, as the search continues for him

As authorities keep scouring swampland for Gabby Petito's fiancé, Brian Laundrie, the FBI has asked for items that might have his DNA, the Laundries' family lawyer said.
During the FBI's visit to the family home, "The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian's parents provided the FBI with what they could," the Laundries' lawyer, Steven Bertolino said to multiple news outlets.
Bertolino did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.

The House Judiciary Committee is demanding interviews with four current and former Department of Justice officials who were involved in subpoenaing phone records for several members of Congress around the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack, the day before Republicans interview former special counsel Jack Smith.
