Pocket-sized Hanuman Chalisa for BJP supporters at Devendra Fadnavis rally

Supporters at former Maharashtra CM Fadnavis's rally in Mumbai received a pocket-sized version of Hanuman Chalisa.
From Delhi to Mumbai, Lord Hanuman is finding mention at every other press conference and rally.
At a public rally organised by the former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, all the entrants received a pocket-sized version of the sacred Hanuman Chalisa along with the refreshments.
The rally was organised at the NESCO grounds in the suburban area of Goregaon. While the devotional songs and chants of Jai Shree Ram echoed the venue, what stood out was a green packet given to all the entrants.
Earlier, the BJP leaders had made sharp comments on Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya claimed that the Sena leader had "given up saffron and had adopted the green" and was quiet on the issue of loudspeakers because he had to appease the Muslims.
Another senior BJP leader, Raosahib Danve Patil, said that the personal attack of Uddhav Thackeray on Fadnavis’s weight was only a distraction. “The weight of a political leader is measured by the number of MLAs he has and going by that count Devendra Fadnavis is indeed very heavy politically.” said Danve Patil.
