
PMO orders probe against UP health dept ACS over irregularities in transfers

The Prime Minister's Office has ordered an inquiry against UP Health Department ACS Amit Mohan Prasad following a complaint over alleged irregularities in transfer-posting.
In a major development, a complaint was made to the Prime Minister's Office about Amit Mohan Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of UP's Medical and Health Department.
The PMO has ordered Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh to conduct an inquiry. The complaint against Amit Mohan Prasad was made to the PM’s office over alleged irregularities in transfer-posting in the department.
Complainant Mahesh Srivastava alleged that the Prasad stopped the payment of many districts out of a sense of malice, and sought a probe into the matter. Srivastava is the Managing Director of R Cube Group of companies.
After this, the PMO took cognizance of the complaint and ordered an inquiry.
Earlier, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak had taken a strict stand on alleged irregularities in the transfer of officials in the Health Department. On this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathhad entrusted the investigation to three officers -- CS DS Mishra, ACS Avnish Awasthi, and Sanjay Bhoosreddy. It has come to the fore in the report that there have been irregularities in the transfers.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, after returning from the BJP's national executive meeting in Hyderabad on June 30, had expressed displeasure that the transfer list of doctors was issued while he was away and said that the transfer policy was not followed.
Pathak had summoned Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad to furnish the complete details of all those who were transferred along with the reasons for their transfer.
