PM security breach: Punjab farmers' union says blockade was unintentional

The Bharati Kisan Union (Krantikari) said the blockade on Wednesday was unintentional and they were not aware of the PM’s plan to take the route.
Bharati Kisan Union (Krantikari) on Thursday, January 6, admitted to blocking the way for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cavalcade on Wednesday. However, the blockade was unintentional and they were not aware of the PM’s plan to take the route, the organisation stated.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy was stuck on a flyover in Punjab for nearly 20 minutes because of a protest by farmers. The cavalcade was stuck and private cars could be seen approaching, which was a major security breach. PM Modi returned to the airport in Bathinda because of the lapse.
