India Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed India's women sports icons, including cricketer Mithali Raj and badminton player PV Sindhu, for their achievements on his monthly radio program ‘Mann ki Baat’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Indian women's team's ODI skipper Mithali Raj and shuttler PV Sindhu for their recent feats during the 75th episode of his monthly radio programme 'Mann ki Baat'. While PM Modi congratulated Mithali Raj for her record feat of making 10,000 runs in international cricket, he also hailed PV Sindhu for the Silver Medal in the BWF Swiss Open Super 300 Tournament. Mithali Raj is only the 2nd women's cricketer to score 10,000 international runs after former England captain Charlotte Edward. Mithali had reached the milestone figure on March 12 during a match against South Africa Women. Also, two days later, she added another feather to her illustrious cap by becoming the first woman batter to complete 7,000 runs in ODIs.More Related News
