The internal document accessed by Aaj Tak/India Today indicates that the Punjab government was aware of PM Modi's changed travel plans and had already prepared alternate security cover and route plan.
Even as the Punjab government maintains that the alleged security lapse during PM Modi’s visit to the state occurred due to last moment change in travel plans, a 32-page report has surfaced which shows that the administration had already prepared alternate security cover and route plan.
The internal document accessed by Aaj Tak/India Today indicates that the Punjab Police had been given prior notice by the SPG that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would travel from Bathinda Air Force Station to the public meeting in Ferozepur by road.
