PM Modi presents Gandhi Peace Prize 2020 to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the Gandhi Peace Prize 2020 to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughters on Friday in Bangladesh. The Government of India conferred the prize upon the late former President of Bangladesh posthumously earlier this week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the Gandhi Peace Prize 2020, which has been conferred upon late Sheikh Mujibur Rahman posthumously by the Government of India, to his daughters Sheikh Rehana and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday. PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Bangladesh to participate in the celebration of 50 years of the nation’s independence and the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He will also be holding talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
