During his visit to Bangladesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed bilateral ties with Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Friday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Bangladesh on a two-day visit, on Friday met country's Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. The two leaders discussed bilateral ties between India and Bangladesh.According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two leaders "reflected on deepening the ties between the two countries and strengthening their all-encompassing partnership based on sovereignty, equality, trust and understanding that transcends the bilateral strategic partnership between the two countries".PM Modi arrived in Dhaka on Friday to attend the celebrations of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of ‘Bangabandhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. PM Modi is set to hold talks with his counterpart Sheikh Hasina during his two-day visit.At the 50th Independence Day celebration of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's leadership.
