Constitution Day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 26 greeted citizens on Constitution Day and shared on Twitter a part of B.R. Ambedkar's speech in the Constituent Assembly in which he moved a motion for adoption of the draft Constitution.

"Best wishes to our citizens on Constitution Day," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.
Senior BJP leader and former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday (November 23, 2024) said the landslide victory of the Mahayuti alliance in the Maharashtra Assembly election was historic, and that it reflected people’s mindset across the country. She added that the DMK would be unseated from power in the 2026 Assembly election in Tamil Nadu and that the BJP would be the reason for it.
