Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the newly appointed Punjab CM on Twitter and said that they would work together for the growth of Punjab and the welfare of the state’s people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, extended his congratulations to Bhagwant Mann, on taking oath as the Punjab Chief Minister.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Bhagwant Mann was sworn in as the Punjab chief minister on Wednesday and his oath-taking ceremony took place at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district.
PM Modi tweeted, “Congratulations to Shri Bhagwant Mann Ji on taking oath as Punjab CM. Will work together for the growth of Punjab and the welfare of the state’s people.”

The AAP stormed to power in Punjab with a landslide 92 seats in the 117-member state Assembly, paving the way for Bhagwant Mann to take over as the next chief minister.
Meanwhile, Narendra Modi met both the CM-elects of Goa and Manipur, Pramod Sawant and N Biren Singh respectively, and congratulated them on their victory. He said that the BJP was committed to working hard to fulfill the aspirations of the people in these states.
