Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Voters Elect First Black Mayor

Democrat Ed Gainey's promised to make Pittsburgh "a city for all."

Voters in Pittsburgh made history last night as they elected the city's first Black mayor. 

Democrat Ed Gainey collected nearly 70% of the votes compared to 29% for Republican nominee Tony Moreno. 

Gainey is poised to replace Mayor Bill Peduto, who finished second to Gainey in the Democratic primary.
