Pics of Arpita Mukherjee addressing TMC election rally surface as party denies having link
India Today
Images of Arpita Mukherjee addressing a TMC election rally in 2021 have surfaced days after the party denied having any links to her. Arpita is a close aide of Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested in the Bengal teachers' recruitment scam case.
The Trinamool Congress has distanced itself from Partha Chatterjee's close aide, Arpita Mukherjee, ever since the Enforcement Directorate (ED) recovered a mountain of cash from her in the teachers' recruitment scam case.
India Today has accessed images of a TMC campaign rally in which Arpita Mukherjee is seen sharing a stage with the arrested senior leader Partha Chatterjee.
In this 2021 election rally, Partha and Arpita addressed the crowd along with other TMC representatives.

But, the TMC has denied having any links to Arpita. On July 22, party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh had claimed that Partha Chatterjee was a victim of conspiracy and had quashed reports of Arpita's links to the party. But the images from the 2021 rally prove otherwise.
Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the ED on July 23 in the multi-crore school job scam case. According to the ED, Arpita Mukherjee has told the probe agency that nearly Rs 50 crore in cash and gold, which were recovered during the raids, belongs to Partha Chatterjee.
However, he has asserted that he was a victim of a conspiracy and expressed unhappiness over TMC’s decision to suspend him.
