A picture of Rishi Sunak's wife, Akshata Murty, serving tea to journalists waiting outside their home has gone viral online. The internet has a lot to say about it.
There is almost nothing that can go unnoticed from the eagle eyes of netizens and this picture is proof of that. A picture of Akshata Murty, former UK minister Rishi Sunak's wife, serving tea and biscuits to journalists waiting outside her house has surfaced online. The post was shared by Josh Gafson from Sky News and triggered a wave of responses from netizens. Why, you ask? Well, she served the tea in mugs that retail for 38 pounds each, which is approximately Rs 3600.
Akshata Murty's photos came a few days after Rishi Sunak launched his bid to become the UK's next Prime Minister after Boris Johnson's resignation. She was actually serving tea and biscuits to journalists waiting outside their London home in cups from a brand called Emma Lacey.
"Big thanks to @RishiSunak's wife who very kindly brought us tea and biscuits outside his house! P.S. It was a very good tea," reads the caption of the post by Gafson.
