The 11-year-old boy from the Philippines was rescued from the fridge after 20 hours, injured but alive and conscious.
An 11-year-old boy survived a deadly mudslide in the Philippines by taking refuge inside a refrigerator. Identified as CJ Jasme, the boy was found alive by the Philippine Coast Guard and a rescue team. Jasme miraculously survived the mudslide which was caused by the tropical storm Megi. Jasme’s house in Baybay City, Philippines was totally wiped away and his mother and younger sibling are still missing.
According to a report by the New York Post, Jasme locked himself in the refrigerator during the mudslide just like Indiana Jones in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He was rescued from the fridge after 20 hours, injured but alive and conscious.
A post shared on Facebook by the Coast Guard shows the rescue worker fishing out the refrigerator from the mud. In another post, detailed pictures of the rescue were shared. The caption detailed that the boy said that he was very hungry after he was rescued.

According to the report by the New York post, over 200 people were injured during the mudslide.
