A dozen people were shot and another was stabbed over the course of two hours in Philadelphia late Tuesday, police said.
Philadelphia police have reported 35% more murders so far this year compared to the same time in 2020, with 271 slayings as of 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, statistics show. Tuesday night’s violent crime pattern began with a shooting on West Westmoreland Street in Philly’s Tioga neighborhood, where a 43-year-old man was shot in both legs and was expected to survive. About 25 minutes later, a 21-year-old man was shot in his face and neck in the area in Southwest Philadelphia, police said. He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.More Related News
