Fuel prices in India were hiked for the sixth time in seven days on Monday. While the price of petrol was increased by 30 paise on Monday, the rate of diesel saw a 35 paise rise.
The price of petrol and diesel in India was hiked for the sixth time in seven days on Monday. While the price of petrol increased by 30 paise per litre, the diesel rate saw a rise of 35 paise per litre.
As a result, the price of petrol in Delhi is now nearly Rs 100 per litre. Petrol is selling in Delhi at Rs 99.41 per litre and diesel at Rs 90.77 per litre.
Until last Tuesday, fuel prices in India had remained unchanged since November 2021, despite global crude oil prices breaching the three-figure mark and touching multi-year highs. However, many had been anticipating a rise in prices after hostilities between Russia and Ukraine increased global prices.
In the last one week, the rates of both petrol and diesel have increased by around Rs 4 per litre.
