Fuel prices were unchanged on Thursday as international oil prices keep rising. Petrol and diesel have remained steady for two straight days after state-run oil companies cut rates on Monday. Global oil prices rose more than 1 per cent on Wednesday, extending gains for the third straight session after US government data indicated that fuel demand climbed to its highest since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Benchmark Brent crude oil has touched nearly $72 per barrel — a development that could hurt efforts to reduce domestic fuel prices in India.
