State-run oil marketing companies have kept fuel prices unchanged on Monday. Just a day ago, petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 29 paise and 27 paise, respectively. While fuel prices have not been revised today, oil companies may hike rates further as international crude oil rates continue to rise. At the moment, both petrol and diesel are retailing at record high rates across the country. It may be noted that fuel prices have been hiked 28 times since May 4. After yesterday’s hike, petrol price in Dehli crossed Rs 97 per litre and diesel is retailing at Rs 87.97 per litre.
