There has been no change in the petrol and diesel prices on Monday. Check what you have in your city.
The prices of petrol and diesel remained unchanged on Monday. The oil marketing companies have not increased fuel prices in the country since November 2021.
However, the hostilities between Russia and Ukraine is expected to keep global prices high and experts opine that fuel rates in India may rise soon.
The Central government slashed the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively, on the eve of Diwali last year, and since then, fuel rates are stable.
In Delhi, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.41 per litre and diesel costs Rs 86.67 per litre. In December last, the Delhi government announced a VAT cut by Rs 8 per litre, which reduced prices.
In India's financial capital, Mumbai, a November 4 cut reduced the price of petrol to Rs 109.98. Diesel costs Rs 94.14 per litre in the city at present.
In Kolkata, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged at Rs 104.67 and Rs 89.79, respectively. The November 4 decline took the prices of petrol and diesel down to Rs 101.40 per litre and Rs 91.43 per litre in Chennai.
In Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.28 per litre and people have to shell out Rs 86.80 for one litre of diesel.
