New Delhi: Petrol and diesel rates were yet again hiked on Friday as the oil marketing companies decided to keep rates on pause for the second day. Fuel prices have witnessed sporadic rise in the last few days with Diesel now inching towards Rs 100 per litre mark in Mumbai. After two consecutive days of halt, Petrol price increased by 26-27 paise per litre, while the price of diesel has increased by 26-30 paise per litre, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers. The hike has pushed petrol and diesel prices to record-high levels across the country. Petrol price in Delhi rose to Rs 94.76 a litre and diesel to Rs 85.66 a litre. In Mumbai, petrol price climbed to Rs 100.98 a litre and diesel to Rs 92.6\99 per litre.
