Petrol, Diesel price today: No revision in fuel rates for 29 straight days| Check latest rates here

Petrol in Chennai costs Rs 99.47 per litre after the state government announced a tax cut of Rs 3 on the same on August 13, 2021, while fuel rates remained unaltered in other metro cities for the 29th straight day. Check the latest city-wise rates here.

The state oil marketing companies (OMCs) have not hiked the fuel rates for the twenty-nine consecutive day, keeping them steady on August 15, 2021. With no revision in the prices of petrol and diesel in Delhi, the rate of petrol in the national capital stands at Rs 101.84 per litre and diesel is retailing at Rs 89.87 per litre. In Mumbai, the petrol prices were stable at Rs 107.83 per litre, the highest across all the metro cities and the rate of a litre of diesel is trading at Rs 97.45. On May 29, Mumbai became the first metropolitan city in India where petrol prices surpassed the Rs 100-a-litre mark.
