PETA pressures First Lady Jill Biden to swap eggs for potatoes at annual Easter egg roll: 'Spudtacular'
Fox News
PETA urged First Lady Jill Biden to change the annual White House Easter egg roll from eggs to potatoes.

In the letter, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk argued that a potato roll "would be truly inclusive and welcomed by every tot who doesn’t eat eggs for religious, cultural, or environmental reasons or because they object to the way animals are raised and killed these days." She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
"Instead of promoting the deleterious factory farming and slaughter industries, will you please initiate the annual White House Potato Roll?," the letter inquired. Story tips and ideas can be sent to sarah.rumpf@fox.com and on X: @s_rumpfwhitten.
