Perhaps you'll find a hero in Calcutta temple! Moon Knight's Ethane Hawke on possibility of Season 2
India Today
In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Moon Knight star Ethan Hawke talks about what made him say yes to the new Marvel show, and more.
Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke is playing the bad guy Arthur Harrow in Disney+ Hotstar’s latest offering, Moon Knight. However, what’s interesting is the fact that the Hollywood legend didn’t read the script before agreeing to do the Marvel series. In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Hawke speaks about his dream of visiting India, his favourite superheroes while growing up, and much more.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Which superheroes influenced you as a child?
You know when I think like that, I just remember being on school buses as a kid and reading Spider-Man, Superman and Fantastic Four, and all different kinds of comics. For some reason, I didn’t really love to read when I was younger and comics were a thing that my mother would give me to encourage me to read. I did enjoy reading them. But then, somewhere in there, I started getting obsessed with cowboys. I started taking my superhero action figures and dressing them up as cowboys and putting them on horses. I don’t know why. Kids are weird! But I think when we look at the moon and stars, it is pretty clear none of us really are sure why we are born, why we are on a star in space, where we were before we were born and what happens to us after we die. So, we start and try to make some sense out of it. Sometimes, superheroes really help.

Correct me if I am wrong. I believe you didn’t read the script before you said yes Moon Knight. What was it about the show that appealed to you the most?
