Perform your duty as father to earn children’s affection: Bombay HC tells man seeking visitation

A man who moved the high court seeking to meet his children, allegedly being kept away by his estranged wife, was told by the court that he needs to fulfil his responsibility as a father to earn kids’ love and affection.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday told a man to perform his duties as a father to earn his children’s love and affection. Hearing of a habeas corpus filed by the father for his children, the high court noted that the father did not even remember the age of his own children. In his plea, the father had prayed that his children a girl and a boy - should be produced before the court as his estranged wife was allegedly not letting them meet her. Hearing the plea, the division bench of Justice S J Kathawalla and Justice S P Tavade said, “If he really loves his children and wants his children to reciprocate, then he has to take care of them. If he wants to exercise his rights, then he should exercise his duty as well.”More Related News
