Join the Murugan conference in Madurai on June 22 to advocate for devotees' needs, including road improvements and festival access.
To stress the State government about various needs of Murugan devotees, people should take part in the Murugan conference en masse to be held in Madurai on June 22, said Hindu Munnani general secretary M. Muruganandham.
Speaking to the press following a preparatory meeting for the conference here on Saturday, he said that the particular stretch of the road from Karaikudi to Palani should be made five-way to facilitate the devotees who would be undertaking ‘padayatra’ to the temple.
The conference would press for other demands such as a separate road to Tiruchendur for devotees to use during ‘Vaikasi visakam’ and other festivals, he added.

The hike in tariffs was a “blessing in disguise” for India’s renewable energy sector, as it may help restrict exports, trigger scale of growth in local markets, bring down the cost of production and in turn make the industry globally competitive, said Pinaki Bhattacharyya, co-chair, FICCI Renewable Energy CEOs Committee.
