People flock to Delhi's old addas to buy firecrackers, only to get disappointed

People are flocking in large numbers in search of firecrackers to popular Delhi markets such as Sadar Bazar and Chandni Chowk. However, all they are getting in the end is a disappointment.
At Sadar bazaar in old Delhi, which once used to be a jam-packed market with stalls selling all sorts of crackers and phuljharis, now sports only a handful of shops selling pop-pop guns and machis bombs. However, the sale of Diwali decorative items, diyas and household items remains unchanged.
"This [Sadar bazaar] was a wholesale market, so people would come to buy crackers for Rs 5,000 and would also end up doing Diwali shopping of around Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000. Now, all cracker shops are closed. All we are left with are these pop-guns," said Raman Handa of the Sadar Nishkam Welfare Association.
