Peel police to make announcement after theft from Toronto Pearson Airport

The news comes as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have confirmed to Global News that Peel Regional Police "is investigating the gold heist at the airport."
Police are set to speak with media Thursday regarding a “theft” from Toronto Pearson International Airport.
That comes as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have confirmed to Global News that Peel Regional Police “is investigating the gold heist at the airport.”
In a tweet at around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, Peel Regional Police said media officers will speak to reporters at 6:30 p.m. regarding a theft from the airport, but did not say if it was related to the “gold heist.”
The Toronto Sun had reported earlier Thursday that a large amount of gold was stolen from the airport.
A request for comment from Peel Regional Police was not returned by time of publication.
