The pedestrians killed in a fiery March 19 crash at King and Main Street East in Hamilton that killed four people were from the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton police say.
The driver of a stolen Toyota Prius that crashed was a 27-year-old Hamilton man.
Police say the male pedestrians killed were a 48-year-old from Richmond Hill, a 51-year-old from Markham and a 56-year-old from Toronto. The driver of the Prius also died.
At the request of the families, police are not releasing names.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. ET. Police said someone stole the Prius near Barton and Kenilworth.
The driver was travelling at "a high rate of speed" when the vehicle hopped the curb, smashed into a concrete hydro pole and burst into flames near a Pizza Pizza, police say.
Earlier this week, people left bouquets on a pole at the scene of the crash.
The investigation of the crash continues as Hamilton police work closely with the Ontario forensic pathology unit, Const. Krista-Lee Ernst told CBC Hamilton in an email earlier this week.
Nrinder Nann, Ward 3 city councillor, is pushing for a review of the intersection.
Hamilton police are asking anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753 or 905-546-4755.
