Pedestrian dies after pole struck by MTA bus falls on him: cops

A pedestrian died two days after an MTA bus driver struck a pole — which then fell on top of him — in Brooklyn last week, cops said. 

The 36-year-old MTA bus driver was heading east on Eastern Parkway near Utica Avenue in Crown Heights just after 7 p.m. Thursday when he swerved to avoid a disabled vehicle and struck a pole on the sidewalk with the side mirror of the bus, authorities said.  The pole then toppled onto the pedestrian, Lance Margolin, 59, causing head and body injuries, police said.
