The various employees’ associations are up in arms against the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy regime’s order to implement the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations.
Government employees and teachers are opposed to the latest PRC (pay revision committee) pay scales as they fear there will be a downward revision in salaries.
A meeting of several employees’ unions under the umbrella of 'PRC Sadhana Samithi’ was held in Amaravati on Friday, during which it was decided to serve the government a strike notice on January 24.

"The government should immediately withdraw the GOs or at least keep them in abeyance. Otherwise, we will not even go for talks," the leaders asserted.
They said, among other things, they would fight for scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme as well.
