Patrick Beverley’s ugly fan incident escalated with ‘Cancun’ taunt
NY Post
More details have come to light about what happened before Bucks guard Patrick Beverley hurled a basketball at a Pacers fan.
The Pacers defeated the Bucks 120-98 to send Milwaukee packing in Game 6 of their first round NBA playoff series.
In the final minutes of the game, the Bucks were getting blown out and huddling up.
According to The Athletic, a fan near the Bucks’ bench yelled, “Cancun on three!”
There were “other obscenities” involved as well, the report said.
This is a longstanding reference to where NBA players are said to go on vacation after they get eliminated from the postseason.

The preferred path to follow remains in place: Select a quarterback with the No. 3 pick in the draft. That is what the Giants hope will happen. When it comes to identifying and securing a franchise-saving player, though, hope is not a good thing, maybe the worst of things — with apologies to Andy Dufresne.
