Patient bitten by rat in Telangana hospital, 2 doctors suspended

Two doctors of a Telangana hospital were suspended after the family of a patient alleged that he was bitten by a rat in the ICU ward.
A man undergoing treatment at the Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit (RICU) at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) in Telangana's Warangal (TS) was allegedly bitten by rats.
The 38-year-old patient, Srinivas, was suffering from lung and liver-related ailments and was admitted to the RICU ward on March 26.

Srinivas's attender and family alleged on Thursday that he was bitten by rats which led to several injuries on his leg and hands.
MGM Warangal is one of the most prominent government hospitals in Telangana.
The government transferred hospital Superintendent B Srinivas Rao after the incident came to light. Two doctors on duty were also suspended by the health department.
