A video of passengers working together to push the compartments from the engine that caught fire in UP has gone viral.
A fire broke out on a train going to Delhi from Saharanpur on Saturday and the passengers had a narrow escape from grave danger. Two of the coaches near Daurala station caught fire and the passengers rushed to separate the compartments from the affected engine and bogies.
A video of the incredible feat has now gone viral on social media platforms as netizens couldn’t stop lauding the power of unity in the situation.
According to reports, the fire started in the train that left Saharanpur at 5.30 am, on its way to Delhi. About 90 km before reaching Delhi, at Daurala, smoke was seen rising from a compartment. By the time the train reached the Daurala station at 7.10 am, two coaches were in flames, Meerut City Railway Station Superintendent R P Sharma told PTI.
“The passengers travelling inside these coaches were safely evacuated,” he added.
