The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) declared a power cut in several parts of Chennai on August 9.

The power supply will be affected for five hours in several areas due to some maintenance work.

It will be suspended from 9 am to 2 pm in several areas of Chennai on Monday. However, the electricity will get restored before 2 pm, if the work gets completed.

As per the latest reports, areas of IT Corridor Tharamani such as Kurinji Nagar 1st, 13th, 14th and 15th streets, Sastha Flats and Nagapillai Avenue will face power cuts today.
