An affidavit filed ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls in 2011 claims that Partha Chatterjee has only Rs 6300 cash in hand.
Former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the teacher recruitment scam. The financial probe agency has so far unearthed Rs 50 crore cash from Partha Chatterjee’s aide, Arpita Mukherjee. But the Bengal minister, who is now embroiled in a scam worth crores, had just Rs 6300 cash in hand over 10 year back.
As per the affidavit filed by him ahead of West Bengal Assembly election in 2011, Partha Chatterjee has only Rs 6300 cash in hand.
By 2021, the cash amount had multiplied by over 23 times. As per the affidavit filed by Partha Chatterjee ahead of 2021 state assembly election, he has Rs 1,48,676 cash in hand.
Meanwhile, trouble continues to mount for the now suspended TMC leader. On Thursday, Partha Chatterjee was sacked from all posts in Bengal ministry following his arrest by the ED in SSC scam case. Moreover, the Trinamool Congress also suspended Partha Chatterjee from the party pending ED inquiry.
Alleging conspiracy, Partha Chatterjee has said that he is being framed.
