Parineeti Chopra has chosen Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila over Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal. We have all the details.
Parineeti Chopra, who was supposed to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, has opted out of the film. She made the decision as she wanted to work with Imtiaz Ali’s directorial venture, Chamkila. Reportedly, the two films had overlapping dates.
Recently, SS Rajamouli asked Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga if Ranbir's character in the film is similar to Kabir Singh. Surely, the excitement surrounding Animal is running high. However, Parineeti won’t be a part of it. She said no to the film due to overlap in dates of Animal and Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila.
A source revealed, “Parineeti is going to work with Imtiaz Ali for the first time in her career as the heroine in the ace director’s next, Chamkila. It is a huge moment for her because she has always wanted to creatively collaborate with the visionary director.”
He added, “She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot and unfortunately due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films. So, RK (Ranbir Kapoor) and Pari (Parineeti) fans will have to wait a little bit longer for a new project to bring them together on screen.”
Animal is a crime drama which features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film’s cast also includes Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 11, 2023. Ranbir Kapoor is likely to play an intense and dark character in Animal. In the announcement video of the film, the actor talked about his character’s troubled relationship with his father, which ended in gunshots.
Animal is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani.
