Parents scramble for childcare due to NYC summer school disorganization
NY Post
The city’s ambitious new summer-school program — meant to help kids catch up after a year of spotty remote learning and classroom chaos — is leaving families in the lurch instead, angry parents charge.
Dubbed “Summer Rising,” the new free program pledged a seat for every city kid that wants one, whether they attend public or private school. There are 1.7 million kids in in New York City. “All New York City students will have an opportunity to participate in the program. No student will be turned away,” proclaims the Summer Rising website.More Related News
