Sundar Singh Gurjar, who won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, said he had suicidal thoughts after he was disqualified from Rio 2016 due to a delay of 52 seconds in reaching the call room.
Sundar Singh Gurjar battled the loss of a limb and then suicidal thoughts before winning bronze at the Paralympics. He said that he couldn't help but be thankful to the people who drew him out of the abyss, especially his coach Mahavir Saini. Gurjar competed in able-bodied competitions and was even a part of the junior national camp featuring Tokyo Olympics gold-medallist Neeraj Chopra among others till 2015.More Related News
