
Palaniswami appoints 2 senior leaders as AIADMK deputy general secretaries

Edappadi Palaniswami, the interim secretary general of the AIADMK, appointed two leaders, KP Munusamy and Natham Viswanthan, as the deputy general secretaries. This is the first appointment of functionaries since the AIADMK general council meeting on Monday.
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) interim general secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS), appointed two senior leaders, KP Munusamy and Natham Viswanthan, as the party's deputy general secretaries.
Meanwhile, C Ponnaiyan has been appointed as the secretary of a forum named after the party’s founder, late chief minister M G Ramachandran (MGR).
Further, SP Velumani was appointed as the Headquarters Secretary, a position which was earlier held by EPS.
Other senior leaders, including former ministers, were named organisational secretaries. These include Sellur Raju, CV Shanmugam, Dhanapal, KP Anbazhagan, Kamaraj R, OS Manian, Kadambur Raju, Rajendra Balaji, Benjamin, Rajan Chellapa and Bala Ganga.
EPS urged party cadres to extend their cooperation to the new functionaries.
Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Edappadi Palaniswami, was elected as the interim general secretary of the AIAMDK after the party’s general council meeting on Monday abolished the dual leadership roles and returned to the “single leader” style of functioning after a gap of five years.
