Pakistani singer accuses Karan Johar of using his song 'illegally' in Jugjugg Jeeyo, threatens with legal action

Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq has accused Karan Johar of using his song Nach Punjaban 'illegally' in Jugjugg Jeeyo. He wrote that this was his sixth song 'being copied'.
Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq has accused Karan Johar of copying his song Nach Punjaban in his new film Jugjugg Jeeyo, which stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. Abrar took to social media to announce that he has not sold his song Nach Punjaban. He said that “producers like Karan Johar” should not copy songs and threatened to take legal action against the 'illegal' usage of his song. He claimed that this was his sixth song that was copied.
Jugjugg Jeeyo trailer was launched on Sunday, May 22. Abrar Ul Haq took to Twitter and wrote, "I have not sold my song “Nach Punjaban” to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all. @DharmaMovies @karanjohar (sic).”
His next tweet read, "Song “Nach Punjaban” has not been licensed to any one. If someone is claiming it , then produce the agreement. I will be taking legal action. #NachPunjaban (sic)."

The makers of Jug Jugg Jeeyo unveiled the trailer of the film on YouTube on May 22. The film deals with the complexities of relationships. The film stars Varun, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Prajakta Koli.
