Pakistan opener Abid Ali has been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome after he complained of chest pain during a domestic first-class match on Tuesday, the country's cricket board (PCB) said.
Pakistan Test batter Abid Ali was “stable and undergoing further tests” after being taken to the hospital because of his complaint of chest pain while batting during Central Punjab's Quaid-e-Azam trophy match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
"Central Punjab opener Abid Ali complained of chest pain during his innings against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final-round match at the UBL Sports Complex, Karachi today. Abid left the batting crease at 61 in Central Punjab’s second innings," PCB said in a statement.
