Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif's 34-member cabinet will be sworn in on Tuesday.
Following Imran Khan’s ouster, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s 34-member cabinet will be sworn in on Tuesday.
On Monday night, a list of 30 federal ministers, four ministers of state and four advisers to the prime minister was issued. Pakistan Peoples Party chief Bilawal Bhutto has not been included in the list.
The oath-taking ceremony was supposed to take place earlier but was postponed after President Arif Alvi excused himself from administering oaths to cabinet members, Geo News reported.
As per sources, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani will administer the oath to the ministers.
Sources added that the ruling coalition has not yet decided to remove President Arif Alvi as it requires comprehensive support in the national and provincial assemblies. The ruling parties will decide the name of the next president at an appropriate time, Geo News reported.
