
Pakistan: Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum tipped to succeed Faiz Hameed as ISI chief

With Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum's likely appointment as the new ISI chief, outgoing DG Lt Gen Faiz Hameed has emerged as a top contender for the post of Pakistan Army chief.
Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum of the Pakistan Army is most likely to be appointed the new chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), the country's primary intelligence agency. The official notification for the appointment of the new Director-General (DG) of Pakistan's ISI, however, is yet to be issued.
Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum is currently posted as Corps Commander of Pakistan's V Corps in Karachi. He has also served as Inspector General (IG) of Pakistan's Frontier Corps.
